● Activity 1

Classes for students of 3rd grade

Well, like we have been seeing in class, we started to talk about and practice the parts of the house. We also used this flashcards in different games.

Now you will have to see this video that explains the parts of the house, and pay attention in how Candy, the little girl, describes each room to help Dave to draw his house.

After the video you will answers the following questions in your notebooks for the next class. The answers will be corrected.
  • What you can find in a bathroom?
  • What do you do in the bedroom?
  • What does people do in the dining room?
  • Where does people cook the food?
  • What can you find in a living room?
  • Where can you find computers and shelves with a lot of books?

● Activity 2

By the end of this activity, you will have to describe your house. But first, let me tell you about mine.

My house has got to bedrooms, one bathroom, a big kitchen, a comfortable living room, a garage and a back yard with a lot of flowers. It is very nice and warm.

Now, before describe your house, CLICK HERE. You will review vocabulary, spelling and comprehension about the parts of the house through this fantastic Quizlet. Practice grammar, pronunciation and have fun with the games.

Once you finish, it is your turn to make a great description of your house. You will have to do this activity in an extra sheet of paper, because it will be your homework for the next class.

PS: use the picture below as a guide for your description or click here to see a PREZI related to the parts of the house, and have fun! =)

● Activity 3

Now as a final activity you are more than ready to write about your dream house. Have you ever wanted to live in a house near the beach? What about in the mountains, the countryside or even in a tree house? It is time to think and expand your imagination.
